Wear Schedule
-
Start Gradually
If your child is new to orthotics, begin with shorter wear periods and gradually increase the duration. For example, start with wearing in shoes for 1-2 hours in a day, then 2-3 hours the next day, gradually increasing until your child can wear their Trax for the full day.
-
Daily Use
Most children will benefit from wearing their orthotics throughout the day, especially during activities that put stress on the feet, such as running, jumping, or standing for long periods.
-
Initial Adjustment Period
It's normal to experience an adjustment period during the first few days of wearing orthotics. Correct alignment can be difficult to become accustomed to for some children, some children can wear Trax all day without a gradual Increase. Be patient with the process.
